Gluing station
The equipment is dedicated to control the gluing of an ingot on a saw work holder so that it is glued parallel to, or with a defined angle with respect to the side datum of the work holder.
The process consists of 2 steps :
-
Gluing of the ingot on an epoxy or glass beam, using the gluing stage
-
Gluing of the ingot / beam assembly on the saw work holder at proper orientation, by using the orienting station
Gluing stage
Gluing of the ingot on a beam
The equipment is available in several configurations, depending of ingot size.
Adjustable guides to fit the beam width.
A pneumatically controlled heavy duty clamping device applies a firm pressure on the ingot so that it gets glued strictly parallel to the beam and does not move during curing.
The pressure device can be sled over the entire machine length so that it applies the pressure in the middle of the ingot.
Orienting station
-
Oriented gluing of ingots on a wire saw work holder
Features :
-
Ingot correction range : approx. 5 degrees at max. ingot length
Gluing accuracy with respect to saw work holderreference :
- better than 0.05° in standard configuration
- up to 0.005° on specific requirement
-
Ingot diameter range : 50 to 200 or 75 to 300 mm
-
Ingot length : up to 450 mm, single ingot or multiple ingots on a single row.
Options :
-
Dual axis configuration, for control of ingot vertical tilt
2nd ingot being glued on orientation
Display of the ingot orientation angle on the saw
holder is provided in real time on the PC
monitor during orientation process.
